To the overcompensating parent:

Your children are destined for you. God knew you were meant to be their parent regardless of the circumstances. Take heart! You are perfectly imperfect to be their mother or father. God has given you the capacity that's just right for these children, and He will take care of the rest.

You're doing great!

Stay encouraged!

There's no need to overcompensate. It can do more harm than good. You can't compensate for a heart that doesn't understand that's what you're doing. Overcompensation is regret expressed in parenting, and children simply need love and time.

In this era of many influences, genuine love and affection are a rare gift. What can you give this season that's not measured in money but wrapped in sincere love and care?

Parent your children from a whole place of honesty.
